From the 20th October 2014 organizations in Scotland are required to charge customers a minimum of five pence for single-use carrier bags. Organizations are also required to manage information about carrier bags.

The Information Commissioner’s Office (http://ico.org.uk/) maintains the register in the UK of organizations who process personal data, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. As Black Country Gifts (www. blackcountrygifts.co.uk) collects personal data in order to process transactions, it has registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
